“We’ve never felt so at home.” This is how frontman Danny O’Donoghue of The Script greeted their ecstatic Filipino fans during the Manila leg of their “Freedom Child Tour” last Saturday, April 14. Their fourth time in the Philippines, the popular band from Dublin had a blast performing on the stage as they sang their hit songs “Breakeven”, “Wonders”, and “No Good in Goodbye”, to name a few.
But the happiness of the trio to be back in the country couldn’t exceed the overwhelming response of their audience. Even Maine Mendoza, one of the biggest stars of her generation, didn’t hold back from fangirling over the Irish band on one of the most unforgettable nights of her life.
Taking to her Instagram account was the Kapuso star sharing her super fun experience from the concert. She wrote:
“Oh my god I had SOOOOO much fun at #FreedomChildTourMNL tonight!!!! Nagwawala lang ako the whole time and IT WAS SO WORTH IT. So many moments to treasure and this is one of them!”
Apparently, Maine at one point blew a kiss to Danny on the stage, which the lead vocalist was kind enough to catch.
“TINIGNAN AKO NI DANNY NG MEJ MATAGAL THEN SINALO NIYA YUNG HALIK KO PUUUUUUUU——-LVORON! Ahhhhh basta basta, THIS IS ONE HELL OF A NIGHT!!! I love you, @thescriptofficial!!!”
