A teacher from the Philippines, doesn’t mind walking and travelling for a couple of hours, just to teachand educate the children in a place that’s far from civilization.
The said Filipina teacher was identified as Elizabeth Miranda. She doesn’t mind walking for two hours, crossing five rivers and struggling to commute just to teach the children who are living in Sitio Barogante at theOccidental Mindoro.
This heroic teacher claims that her trip to the said place takes her three hours, yet everything’s worth it in the end. She also stated that she’s having a hard time in crossing some of the rivers that’s why she’s very much thankful to the authorities who were lending their “salbabidas” just for her to be able to cross the river.
She also said that she wanted to get the attention of the government through this documentary to help these children have a much comfortable classrooms.
In the end, she stated that there are times when she wanted to give up on teaching these children, but when she sees the smiles on their faces every time she arrives, she feels that her efforts are not being wasted because all of her efforts are being appreciated by her students!
